Joplin Street near Gum Road blocked by overturned semi

An overturned semi is blocking Joplin Street south of Carl Junction.  

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened near Gum Road just after nine this (Monday) morning.   

The unnamed driver was taken to a Joplin Hospital.  

The road is expected to be closed for several hours.
