Missouri Man Pleads Guilty to Civil Disorder in U-S Capitol Riot
A member of the Proud Boys from western Missouri faces up to five years in federal prison for obstructing law enforcement during the U-S Capitol riot.
Prosecutors say 45-year-old Louis Colon of Blue Springs pleaded guilty to felony civil disorder Wednesday.
He admitted to driving with others from Kansas City to Washington D-C and purchasing a modified ax handle to be used as a walking stick and a weapon.
Colon marched to the Capitol January 6th, 2021 carrying a pocket knife and wearing a backpack, tactical vest and gloves, boots, and a helmet.
Court documents say Colon climbed a Capitol wall, unlawfully entered the building and obstructed officers who were trying to lower a retractable door to stop other rioters.
No sentencing date has been scheduled.
