Local Spire customers to see rates go up

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved an agreement reached by Spire Missouri, Inc., the Staff of the Missouri Public Service Commission and the Office of the Public Counsel.

The agreement changes the Infrastructure System Replacement Surcharge (ISRS) for Spire West customers.

The ISRS adjustment reflects infrastructure replacement investments made by the natural gas company from June through December 2021.

As a result, residential customers will pay an additional $0.74 a month.

These include customers in Jasper, Barry, Barton, Lawrence, Vernon and McDonald counties.

The change will affect a total of  533,435 customers in nearly 30 counties in southwest Missouri.
