Joplin School Board to swear in new members, elect top officers
The Joplin Board of Education will meet Tuesday night.
The Board will certify the results of the April 5th election and will swear in new Board members David Weaver and Donnie Greenlee.
They’ll also elect a new president and vice president. The Board will discuss agreements with the National Education Association and Joplin Education Support Professionals that will lead to pay raises for employees who are members of those groups.
The public meeting gets underway at 6 p.m. at 825 S. Pearl.
A closed session will be held at 7 p.m. to handle “legal actions, the lease, purchase or sale of real estate and the hiring, firing, disciplining or promotion of employees.”
