Accident north of Alba takes the life of woman from Webb City

An accident north of Alba has taken the life of a woman from Webb City.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 34-year-old Samiah A. Al-Sharif of Webb City was driving southbound on Route O, 2 miles north of Alba around 3:30 Friday afternoon when her car ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

She was taken to a Joplin hospital where she was pronounced dead several hours later.

The Highway Patrol says she was wearing  a safety device when her 2010 Honda Civic smashed into the tree.

It was the 26th fatality crash for Highway Patrol Troop D in calendar year 2022.
