Streambank stabilization meeting slated in Noel
The public is invited to a meeting to provide input and learn more about a project to stabilize the Elk River stream bank and improve sidewalks along Missouri Route 59.
The Missouri Department of Transportation said the meeting will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the River Ranch Resort at 101 River Road in Noel.
No formal presentation is planned. Those attending can learn about the project and ask questions.
The project is designed to stabilize the streambank along Elk River on Route 59 between Elk River bridge and the Butler Creek bridge.
It also would sidewalks and improve pedestrian areas along same stretch of Route 59.
Construction on the estimated $23.1 million project is expected to begin in 2023.
