Plea deal for Monett man accused of child molestation

There has been a plea deal in the case of a 39-year old Monett man charged with sexually abusing a 4-year old girl from Monett.

Timothy R. Wilson entered an Alford plea which admits no guilty but acknowledges the likelihood of a conviction at trial.

Charges were filed against Wilson two years ago after the girl was interviewed at the Children’s House.

According to court documents, the child said Wilson had touched her inappropriately.

The plea dismisses another count of child molestation and another charge.

Wilson will be sentenced on June 13^th.
