MoDOT Seeking Volunteers for ‘No More Trash! Bash’ in April
The Missouri Department of Transportation is looking for volunteers to do some spring cleaning along the state’s roadways.
“No More Trash! Bash” is an annual outreach of MoDOT’s litter control efforts in the month of April.
The agency spends about six-million dollars a year to remove debris from the right of way of 34-thousand state highway miles.
Officials are asking all Missourians to find ways to help clean the roadsides.
MoDOT will provide trash bags and safety vests to volunteers.
Adopt-A-Highway groups will also be picking up their sections of roadway.
More than 53-hundred volunteer groups have adopted 64-hundred miles across Missouri.
