Woman injured in early morning crash

Joplin Police tell NewsTalk KZRG an area woman suffered serious injuries in a crash early this morning near what used to be the main entrance to the Joplin Regional Airport.

The crash reportedly occurred at Prairie Flower and MacArthur Drive, east of Stone’s Corner just after 3 a.m.

The accident occurred when the westbound car left the right side of the road and hit the base of a traffic signal.

The driver, reportedly a 50-year-old female, was reportedly taken to an area hospital by METS ambulance.
