BBB: Watch out for fake Time Share offer
Couple in Shell Knob taken for thousands . . . .

The Better Business Bureau is warning Joplin area residents about a fake Time Share company.
A couple in Shell Knob lost nearly 16-thousand dollars after a telephone salesman told them they qualified for over 30 vacation packages, although they had never purchased even one.
โThis is something to watch out forโ says Stephanie Garland of the BBB. โIf you know you donโt have a time share and someone calls out of the blue with a ridiculous number โ in this case, 35 vacation packages โ please realize you do not own a time share.โ
โYou have to sign paperwork in person in order to purchase one,โ she adds.
Garland says most Time Share operations are legitimate companies that operate within the law.
Unfortunately, this one was not.
