Signal work Wednesday at 32nd and Schifferdecker
Adjustments to the traffic signals at 32nd Street & Schifferdecker Avenue will be completed the morning of this Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
The intersection will remain open to traffic, with traffic control devices in place, and the lights will be in “flash mode” while the changes are being made.
The work requires a utility truck to be parked in the intersection; drivers should use extreme caution while in this area. Work is expected to be completed between 8 a.m. and 12 noon.
The signal work is a part of the 32nd Street widening project. Emery Sapp is the contractor for the project and the signal subcontractor is Ewing Signal.
The project is funded through the 3/8 cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax approved by voters in 2014. Completion of this project is set for summer 2023.
