Pittsburg man arrested for alleged sex crimes against a child

A man from Pittsburg has been arrested for alleged sex crimes against a child. Read the full press release below:
On February 7, 2022, at approximately 3:54 p.m., 36-year-old Brandon Christopher Riggs of Pittsburg, was arrested by detectives with the Pittsburg Police Department.
Riggs was taken into custody as the result of a swift investigation initiated on January 31, 2022, where Riggs was accused of inappropriate sexual contact with a child under 14 years of age. This sexual contact is alleged to have occurred over a six-month period.
Subsequent to his arrest, Riggs was transported to the Crawford County Jail where he was booked in. Charges will be requested from the Crawford County Attorney’s Office for Riggs to be charged with two counts of Rape of a Child under the age of 14; two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sodomy of a Child under the age of 14; and two counts of Aggravated Endangering of a Child.
Riggs is currently being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing at this time and more charges are expected.
