Ice getting the blame for one-car accident in Newton County
Ice is getting the blame for a one-car accident in Newton County this morning that caused minor injuries to a woman from Granby.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 8:40 this morning on Old Highway 71, about 2 miles south of Saginaw.
The patrol says ice obstructed the driver’s vision, causing her to travel off the right side of the roadway and struck a bridge pier end.
18-year-old Kori J. Murphy of Granby was transported to Freeman West Hospital with minor injuries.
