Second Pittsburg man arrested for role in robbery, battery incident
A second suspect has been arrested in Pittsburg, Kansas, after the alleged robbery and assault of a man.
On Tuesday afternoon, January 25, 2022, at approximately 1:45 PM, law enforcement officers with the Pittsburg Police Department located the second suspect from this incident at a residence in the 500 block of W. Forest St., in Pittsburg.
Ongoing investigation lead to 35-year old Russell L. Huff, of Pittsburg, being identified as the second suspect from this aggravated battery and robbery offense from Tuesday, January 18, 2022, when he and 33-year-old Jerimiah Wools, of Pittsburg, allegedly physically assaulted a man, then stole his cell phone and stole cash.
Officers located and made contact with Huff and then took him into custody without incident, and he was transported to the jail at the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office for booking.
Huff was arrested for felony aggravated battery, felony aggravated robbery, felony aggravated burglary, misdemeanor theft and misdemeanor criminal carrying of a weapon. Huff is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
