One dead after house fire in Miami

One man is dead after a house fire in Miami, Oklahoma, Thursday night. Read the full press release below:

At approx 8:15 pm,  Miami Police were were notified of a residence on fire located at 2 G St. SW.

Miami Fire responded to fight the fire and while inside the residence they discovered a deceased male subject inside one of the house bedrooms.

There was no power to the residence and it appeared the house was being heated with a portable gas heater.

Although the cause of fire and the cause of death are still being investigated there does not appear to be any signs of foul play.

The state Fire Marshal is investigating the incident as well as Detectives from Miami Police Dept.

The identity of the male subject has not be determined at this time.
