One man taken to hospital following early afternoon accident

One man was injured after a single-vehicle accident around 1:25 this afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 58-year-old Danny W. Finley of Reeds was driving eastbound on Elm Road three miles east of Carthage when his 1998 Jeep Cherokee traveled off the roadway and overturned.

The Patrol says Finley suffered serious injuries and was transported to a Joplin hospital.

The Patrol report says he was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
