Event to honor Dr. King planned for January 17th at MSSU
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. died in 1968, killed by an assassin’s bullet.
Every year, a celebration is held at MSSU in Dr. King’s honor.
The 22nd annual event is planned for 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 17th at the North End Zone Facility.
The event is free and open to the public.
Earlier in the day, members of the campus community will be assisting with repairs at four historic black churches and at Joplin’s Community Service Center.
