Woman falls from car on I-44, dies after being hit by another car

A woman from Kentucky was killed on I-44 about two miles west of Halltown Friday evening, after she fell from a car and was stuck by another car traveling down the Interstate.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 35-year-old Jeanna F. White of Prestonburg, Kentucky was killed around 5:50  Friday evening when she fell from an eastbound 2016 Toyota Corolla driven by 38-year-old Joshua R. Baisden, also of Prestonburg.

After White fell, she was hit by a 2015 Toyota Corolla driven by 28-year-old Ethan C. Swingle of Springfield.

White was taken to a Springfield hospital where she was pronounced dead a few hours later.
