Club from Joplin receives certificate for providing meaningful experience over past year
The award ceremony was held in October
A club from Joplin with a goal of providing an engaging and meaningful member experience for the past year received a certificate of appreciation for their efforts in a ceremony that took place in the month of October.
Soroptimist International of Joplin was the recipient of the award from Soroptimist International of the Americas.
President Lynda Banwart accepted the certificate on behalf of the Joplin chapter during the 4th Annual South Central Region Fall Meeting, which took place October 15-17 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Also in attendance at the event were Treasurer Lisa Paugh and Pam Houk, Chair of the Dream It, Be It program.
The award celebrated the following achievements, which included
- Participating in the Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards® for Women;
- Engaging with Dream It, Be It® Career Support for Girls;
- Contributing to Club Giving in support of federation programs;
- Marking Club Giving gift(s) as at least l0% of locally raised funds;
- Donating Founders Pennies in support of federation programs; and
- Achieving an 85% or better retention rate.
President Lynda Banwart says, “Our club works really hard all year to improve the lives of girls and women in our community. So it is very encouraging that our efforts in Joplin are recognized at the regional level and contribute to the collective impact of Soroptimist International.”
