Church in Joplin holding Christmas reading event next week

The Generations Free Will Baptist Church will hold a “Christmas, Cocoa, and Cookies” event next week as the holiday draws closer.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21 at the church, which is located at 2301 Connecticut Ave. in Joplin.

The night starts with a reading session of the first Christmas.

Afterwards, families will be able to choose from other Christmas stories.

Hot cocoa refreshments and cookies will be provided.

Families will also receive a free children’s book from the church as they leave.
