University of Missouri System to require COVID-19 vaccine
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (AP) – The University of Missouri Board of Curators says most university system employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The curators voted Thursday to require the vaccine for employees who work on federal contracts or research. The requirement complies with a federal mandate requiring all federal contractors to be vaccinated.
The employees have until Jan. 4 to get their final shot. Failing to comply with the federal mandate would endanger about $76 million in federal funds for the University of Missouri system.
The new policy will allow exemptions for religious or medical reasons. The mandate affects only students who work for the university.
