Standoff in Joplin Friday night ends with one arrest
JOPLIN, Mo – Shots were fired by a male subject last night during a disturbance and standoff in the 400 block of East 33rd Street.
The Joplin Police Department tells NewsTalk KZRG a SWAT team was called in after shots reportedly were fired inside a house with a child and domestic partner inside.
The JPD reportedly did not fire any shots. A standoff began around 8:30 p.m. and lasted until just before 1 a.m.
A male subject was taken into custody.
