Parsons Police arrest man for alleged Child Endangerment
Some people in charge of children have nightmares about them getting lost or wandering away. But Parsons Police say that didn’t seem to be the case for one adult from that city.
On Thursday, Parsons Police responded to a report of a 4-year-old child outside, crying with no adult supervision.
Parsons Police Sgt. Jason Ludwig says 47-year-old Michael Lee Tremaine of Parsons later told officers he was left in charge of the child and he knew the child was missing but he didn’t even try to search for him or call anyone.
Officers arrested Tremaine and, in the process, located a baggie with suspected methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe on him.
Parsons Police are sending charges of Endangering a Child, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia to the Labette County Prosecuting Attorney.
Sgt. Ludwig says Tremaine has a an extensive criminal history.
