Update on building fire housing dozens of state workers in Missouri
Missouri has an update on Monday night’s fire that burnt to the ground a building housing dozens of state workers.
The Missouri Office of Administration says a building fire this week housing about 100 of its IT workers and Department of Social Service employees has not caused any interruptions in service.
Spokesman Chris Moreland tells Missourinet the state’s IT security has not been affected by the fire.
He says information is stored on secured network servers located at a different site and not on individual workstations that were in the building.
According to Moreland, an assessment of any potential information loss will be done as equipment is able to be recovered.
The affected workers have been relocated.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
