Better Business Bureau warns of online toy scams
The Better Business Bureau is reminding parents that buying toys may be a tough job this year. Popular toys are expected to sell out fast and supply chain issues will make them even harder to find.
Scammers online, though, will be on line still offering the special toys at bargain rates – even though what they’re really selling are cheap knock-offs …… or nothing at all.
“Make sure you’re buying toys from reputable stores and websites and don’t be fooled by extra low prices,” says Stephanie Garland of the Better Business Bureau.
“Research carefully before you buy,” she advises “and realize the sooner you can order it the better.”
Garland says consumers in the KZRG listening area already have reported monetary losses of over $100 from online toy scams.
