City of Joplin announces closure tomorrow for portion of Main Street due to upcoming project
A crane will be used during the project to access the roof and flagpoles
The City of Joplin announced yesterday that portions of Main street will be closed on Thursday, November 4 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This closure is taking place between 4th Street and 7th Street.
During this period, the City will bring in a crane so maintenance workers can access the roof and flagpoles on top of City Hall, according to a news release from the City.
The same news release says, “City maintenance workers will untangle the American Flag from its flagpole, and also restring the pole for the Missouri State flag to be flown again on this building.”
Drivers are advised to use streets streets around Main Street as this project is completed.
