Man from Webb City killed in motorcycle crash in Joplin early Sunday morning
The incident happened around 12:13 a.m.
One man was killed following a motor cycle crash in Joplin early Sunday morning.
The event took place around St. Louis and Euclid Avenue at 12:13 a.m.
The Joplin Police Department says that a motorcycle had been driving southbound on St. Louis when it struck the positive pedestrian island at Euclid Avenue, according to officers at the scene.
This collision ejected the driver from the bike, which caused them to land in the roadway.
Afterwards, a secondary crash occurred when a vehicle traveling northbound hit the deceased individual.
The victim was later identified as 24-year-old Webb City resident Joseph Chapman.
The JPD says the initial crash appears to impairment related.
