The U.S. Department of Agriculture hopes to help de-stigmatize mental health in the Kansas agriculture community.

A news release for Governor Laura Kelly’s office says, “The Kansas Department of Agriculture will use funding to create a statewide campaign to raise awareness for the website, develop reusable media content, and work to destigmatize the concept of mental health awareness while lowering suicide rates in the agriculture industry in Kansas.”

The USDA National Institue of Food and Agriculture announced an investment of almost $25 million through 50 grants to support the Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network  (FRSAN) State Department of Agriculture (SDA) projects.
