Woman from Springfield who sustained injuries in crash earlier this month passes away

A woman from Springfield who sustained serious injuries in relation to a car crash earlier this month has passed away from her injuries, according to the Springfield Police Department.

40-year-old Springfield resident Catherine Williams was originally in the crash on October 8, which occurred on October 8.

Williams was driving southbound on Fort when she turned east at Sunshine and collided with another driver.

Both drivers were injured and transported to area hospitals.
