Kansas CDL holders now have more convenient option for renewing licenses

Kansas Commercial Driver’s License holders will now have the option to renew their licenses in a more convenient way.

Now through the Apple App or Google Play store, drivers can download the iKan app and renew their credentials.

This can also be done by visiting ikan.ks.gov.

In order for a driver to renew their CDL via the IKan app, a valid Department of Transportation medical card must be presented, as well as a Truckers Against Trafficking certificate of completion, and they must not have a hazardous materials endorsement.

Kansas drivers that need to renew their CDL’s can do so up to a year in advance of the expiration date of the license.
