Nixa High School Senior wins Student of Ethics award

Robertson was recognized during a virtual event on October 19

The Better Business Bureau has announced the winner of the Student Ethics Award for the Springfield region of Missouri.

Kayla Robertson is a senior from Nixa High School in Nixa, Missouri, who receives the award for the area.

“The award provides $2,500 toward college or trade school expenses and recognizes students who demonstrate high ethics through leadership, community service, personal integrity and academic achievement,” according to a news release from the Better Business Bureau.

Robertson was selected by prior winners because of her community service, essay, academics, and other achievements.

The news release from the Better Business Bureau goes onto say,

“Robertson tutors elementary school students and has volunteered as a teacher’s assistant at her high school. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas and study either psychology or business management. Robertson was recognized during BBB’s virtual TORCH Awards event on Oct. 19. The TORCH Awards event also recognized businesses exemplifying high ethics in their treatment of customers, employees and suppliers.”
