BBB advise to holiday shoppers: Beware of online scams

The Better Business Bureau says, as we move into the holiday shopping season, online scams are a big concern.

The BBB reports more than all of 1/3 of cases reported to their scamtracker are online ripoffs and 4 of 5 people involved actually  lose money.

How can you spot a scam?

“If all the deals are the same price . . . . that’s a red flag,” Stephanie Garland of the BBB says.

“If you can’t find an ‘About Us’ page that should be clearly written out, that’s a red flag. If you can’t find an address, that should be a red flag.”
