Amish buggy struck in hit and run accident in Cedar County
Occupant in serious condition in Springfield hospital . . . .
An Amish buggy was struck by an unknown vehicle around 8:15 p.m. Saturday night, leaving an El Dorado Springs woman in serious condition.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the buggy, being driven by 23-year-old Johnny C. Schwartz of Eldorado Springs, was on Missouri 97, about 7 miles north of Jerico Springs in Cedar County when it was struck from the rear by a vehicle that left the scene of the accident.
There is no description of that vehicle.
An occupant of the buggy, 18-year-old Elizabeth A. Schwartz of El Dorado Springs, was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield in serious condition.
