Segment of Main Street in Joplin to close for water line installation

A segment of one road in Joplin will close starting today.

A news release from the city of Joplin says, “The 200 south block of Main Street will have both southbound lanes closed beginning Thursday, October 14. Southbound traffic will be shifted into the inside northbound lane. Two-way traffic will be maintained during the closure although delays will be likely during peak hours.”

Expect the closure to last two days.

During the road closure, Missouri American Water will instal a water line connection to a business in the area.
