Pittsburg Police Department to take part in National Drug Take-Back Day
The event takes place October 23
The Pittsburg Police Department will hold a hosting site on Saturday, October 23 for National Drug Take-Back Day.
This is an opportunity for citizens to dispose of expired, potentially dangerous, unused, or otherwise unwanted prescription medications.
839,543 pounds of unwanted medication were collected from 5,060 collection sites across the nation, according to a news release from the Pittsburg Police Department.
4,425 law enforcement agencies participated in that event, which the release also stated.
Those that want to drop off their unwanted medication can do so on October 23 by taking it to the Pittsburg Police Department at 201 N Pine St. from 10 AM to 2 PM.
