Missouri US Senator Roy Blunt comments on Debt Limit Vote

Missouri US Senator Roy Blunt had some comments to make after voting against an increase in the debt limit.

“Democrats walked the nation up to the brink of economic disaster with their refusal to act on the debt limit for the past several months, ” Blunt said in a press release on Thursday.

He followed that statement by later saying that the agreement reached, which averted a default, now forces the Democrats, “to raise the debt limit on their own without a single Republican vote.”

Blunt ends by saying that hardworking Americans are going to pay the price as inflation skyrockets.
