4 injured in crash that occurred Monday afternoon in Newton County
The incident took place around 3:20 PM
Four people suffered injuries following a crash that occurred in Newton county on Monday around 3:20PM.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash report says the crash happened when a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by 72-year-old Stella resident Paul Wilson traveled into the the path of a 1998 Toyota 4Runner driven by 21-year-old Carthage resident Alex Mazariegos.
Mazariegos suffered minor injuries in the incident, while his passenger 25-year-old Christopher Wilson suffered serious injuries.
Wilson and his passenger, 70-year-old Sherry Wilson, both sustained minor injuries.
All were taken to Freeman West in Joplin and treated for their injuries.
All individuals involved were wearing their seat belts.
