Pinning Ceremony and Speaker Series planned at Missouri Southern State University

A pinning ceremony as well as a new speaker series are planned events for the Global Leaders cohort at Missouri Southern State University.
Based on a combination of ACT and GPA scores, students will be able to participate in the Global Leaders program.
Upon entry to the program, students will have access to $4,000 in private funds that can be used toward leadership development, international travel, travel to academic conferences, or undergraduate research.
The first cohort ceremony will feature 21 students in a pinning ceremony at 4 PM Thursday, October 7.
The event will take place in Billingsly Student Center’s Connor Ballroom.
“The Global Leaders Speaker Series will begin with a presentation by Vice Admiral Jeffrey E. Trussler at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, in Billingsly Student Center’s Phelps Theatre,” according to a news release from Missouri Southern State University.
Additionally, the speaker series will continue with Shawn Askinosie at 1 PM Tuesday, October 19, in Webster Hall’s Corley Auditorium.
The pinning ceremony is restricted to those invited.
Both speaker events are open to the public.
