Joplin Parks and Recreation announces “May The Forest Be With You” Event
The event starts at 10am October 2
The Joplin Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with several groups, announced the “May The Forest Be With You” celebration on Monday.
It will take place on Saturday, October 2 at Wildcat Park.
The event celebrates Earth and Arbor day, with activities set to start at 10 AM, the 1st being the Padawan Family Fun Walk.
A four-hour event packed with family-friendly activities follows the walk.
Live music will also be performed by Chester Ellis and the Tumbleweeds.
Food vendors will be present.
The first 500 households that register for the event will be gifted a free three-gallon tree by Liberty Utilities.
