COVID-19 booster shots can now be given to eligible Missourians.

Missourians who received the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine can get a booster shot at least six months after their initial series if they are: 

• 65 years and older and residents in long-term care centers;
• 18–64 years old with underlying medical conditions; and
• 18-64 year olds who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting. This would include frontline medical workers, teachers, and first responders.

 Federal health experts have not yet approved a booster shot for Moderna or Johnson & Johnson.
