MSSU to stage production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Company”

Showings start Thursday, September 30

Missouri Southern State University’s Musical Theatre Department will stage a production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Company” on Thursday, September 30, through Sunday, October 3, in the Bud Walton Black Box Theatre.

Show times will be 7:30 PM on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

A matinee will be shown on Sunday at 2:30 PM.

“The 1970 musical comedy – with music and lyrics by Sondheim, and book by George Furth – is about a confirmed bachelor who contemplates his unmarried state over a series of dinners, drinks and even a wedding. He’s forced to question his bachelorhood as his friend explain the pros and cons of marriage,” according to a news release from MSSU.

Seating will be open to 100 audience members per performance.

Tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for senior citizens, members of the military, and students; children 12 and under get in free.
