Oklahoma man convicted again for sexual abuse of a child
Sexual abuse of a child. It’s always tragic and often life-altering for the victim.
Last week in the Federal Court of the Northern District of Oklahoma, 41-year-old Travis Dray Stewart was sentenced to 20 years in prison and 10 more years of supervised release for sexual abuse of a child.
Stewart had been convicted of the same offense once before. He was charged again after his original conviction was overturned on jurisdictional grounds due to the Supreme Court’s McGirt decision.
Stewart pleaded guilty in May to making sexual contact with a child under 12 years of age between June 2003 and September 2005.
