A man from Joplin that owns a Pittsburg business was indicted by a federal grand jury last week for five counts of false statement in a tax return.
The decision came from the U.S attorney’s office in Wichita.
64-year-old Kenneth Madl, the owner of Madl Construction, was accused of submitting 2015-2019 tax returns to the IRS, which led to the company underreporting its income by more than $1 million, according to court documents.
