Man sentenced for smuggling methamphetamine, heroin on train
A Mississippi man was sentenced in federal court in Kansas City last week for transporting drugs on a train through Kansas City enroute to St. Louis.
48-year-old- Willie Lewis Braison was sentenced to seven years in federal prison without parole.
Braison pleaded guilty last September to possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.
Braison admitted smuggling over five lbs. of methamphetamine in a box of cookies and three lbs. of heroin in a pair of tennis shoes on a train from Los Angeles to St. Louis in January 2019.
