Liberty Utilities asks for a rate increase
Online hearings scheduled
Liberty Utilities has filed a request for a rate increase with the MO Public Service Commission.
If approved by regulators, the rate adjustment in 2022 would cost the average Liberty Missouri customer about $12.76 per month based on approximately 1,000 kilowatt-hours of usage per month.
The increase also would spread Liberty’s costs involved with last February’s winter storm over 13 years, rather than six months.
That would raise rates just over $7 a month for the average customer.
Online hearings are slated for Nov. 15th – 18th.
