Head-on crash injures two on Highway 171 near Waco Saturday
Pittsburg man faces multiple charges
A head-on crash on Highway 171 near Waco just after 1 p.m. on Saturday has resulted in injuries to two drivers and several charges against a Pittsburg, Kansas man.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a southbound Kia Optima driven by 26-year-old Kaston Juda of Pittsburg crossed the centerline and struck a northbound Jeep Wrangler driven by a Carthage woman, 20-year-old Payten A. Wiatrak.
Wiatrak was taken to Freeman Hospital with minor injuries.
Juda was taken to Mercy-Joplin with moderate injuries.
Juda was charged with DWI, driving without a license, driving without insurance and not driving on the right half of the roadway.
Both cars were total losses and had to be towed from the scene.
