Man from Neosho arrested on Oklahoma warrant for embezzling
Michael Shearer was arrested Saturday night.
A man from Neosho was arrested after he was stopped by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Saturday night at 11 PM.
The arrest stems from an out-of-state fugitive felony embezzlement warrant from Delaware County, Oklahoma.
Court documents say that charges were filed against 47-year-old Michael Shawn Shearer, when a company he worked for, Care Source, noticed a gas card was still in use by a former employee after the employee left.
Following at investigation, an employee was found to have allowed Shearer to use his cared number while the two were still working for Care Source.
Reports say Court records indicate the card was used 21 times to buy $1,573.53 worth of gas, and Shearer admitted to charging 1,220.02.
The purchases were made between December 28, 2017, and July 19, 2018.
