Body found along roadway in NE Oklahoma identified
Name currently being withheld at family's request . . . .
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s office reports in a Facebook post today [Saturday] that the body found by state mowing crews along Highway 69A north of the Will Rogers Turnpike on Thursday now has been positively identified.
However, the name of the individual is being withheld due to a request from family members.
The Sheriff’s office say they are honoring that request at this time.
The OSBI and the Medical Examiners officer had been working to obtain a positive identification. The length of time the body had been exposed to the heat and elements had initially made an identification difficult.
The Sheriff’s office says the investigation into that death is ongoing.
