Oklahoma doctor does not expect session on virus masking
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The president of the Oklahoma Medical Association says he doesn’t expect discussions with Gov. Kevin Stitt to lead to a special legislative session to overturn a law banning schools from mandating masks.
Dr. Mary Clarke said Tuesday that there’s no sign that the ban Stitt signed in March will change. Stitt’s office didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Oklahoma State Department of Health on Tuesday reported 946 new COVID-19 cases and a seven-day average of 1,657 new cases daily.
