Chimpanzees removed under a court order from Missouri caretaker

Six chimpanzees have been taken away from their caretaker in Missouri under a court order.

That’s after People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals claimed five years ago living conditions for the Chimps were inadequate. 

Law enforcement looked on as the animals were taken from a Festus facility on Wednesday from caretaker Tonia Haddix.

The removal came one day after the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals refused an emergency request to put it on hold.
